Yo-yo
2.008 Design and Manufacturing II

Project:
The goal was to design and manufacture a batch of 50 yo-yo's to learn about manufacturing processes. I was part of a team of five students, that designed the yo-yo's from scratch. Our team chose to design it with the MIT 150th Anniversary theme in mind. Our yo-yo has 5 parts; 4 injection molded parts (body, ring, logo, and MIT's mascot: the beaver), and one thermoformed part (dome). I designed and manufactured the beaver part, which was supposed to slide around the logo.
